• You can brighten the display for the daytime and dim it for nighttime. Its really bright and i can see it with sunglasses on.

• I apologize but in order to see visually what's best for your likings. I would advise to visit a local store and see if they have a radio on display for you to look at and determine for yourself if it bright enough for you.
