What is the approximate range? null

Worked when I was in cabin of car and phone was in trunk. Also worked towards entrance of store that car, which still had phone in trunk, was parked in front of. As I went deeper into the store the sound got choppy. Completely cut off when I moved about 8 cars away from my car in parking lot ( less than .1 mile).
