it may be the way you wired it when installed. If you didn't connect a constant hot to the yellow wire, this may cause it to not return to the point of when shut off. The unit I have was installed in a travel trailer. So I would have the same issue. It is not wired in with a constant hot, so every time I disconnect the power to rv it will loose station memory and the clock will have to be reset. I checked the JVC website and downloaded the full manual and it didn't mention anything about your issue. If you used an adaptive harness to wire it to your car, you should check to see if you have constant power going to the yellow wire. Use a test light or voltmeter. If you are not getting power to the yellow wire you may need to check your car fuse block. Check to see if it turns off when you turn the key off. If it does you may need to run a constant hot from your fuse block of your vehicle. You will need a voltmeter or a test light to find which fuse is always hot. Other than that you may need to go to JVC and contact them explaining the issue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Thanks JVCKD 711!! BESTBUY installed and l remember when the radio was pulled out, tech told me to hold on to the harness as he would need it when they install the new unit. Previous unit was PIONEER; new unit is JVC. I’ll make an appointment to have it checked out and keep this thread active with results.
