Switching your Kano PC out of Windows 10 in S mode will not remove your current apps. Please note that Windows 10 in S mode is designed for security and performance, exclusively running apps from the Microsoft Store. If you want to install an app that isn't available in the Microsoft Store, you'll need to switch out of S mode. Switching out of S mode is one-way. If you make the switch, you won't be able to go back to Windows 10 in S mode. There's no charge to switch out of S mode.

It just allows you to install programs that are not on the Windows Store (this is where the |S| comes from). However, be aware that you cannot go back to S mode after changing it. Well, actually, you can, but there are only two ways to do it: 1) Reset the computer to factory settings (which will wipe out all programs as well as all data). 2) Another process that is so involved, it is not for recommended for anyone but a technician. Feel free to google "can you change a pc to s mode," or similar.
