tony, Your TV is 10.8" tall and the mounting plate is about 8.1" tall. If your TV's VESA pattern (bolt pattern) was located in the center of your TV then you shouldn't see anything sticking out. Unfortunately there's a photo of the TV on Best Buy's site and it looks like the mounting holes are near the top of the TV. You will definitely see our mount sticking up above the TV.
