Hi, I used it for a 50-inch tv in the corner of my room and it worked perfectly.

I used this mount on a 36 inch monitor in the corner of my kitchen bay windows. You can probably get it as close to about 4 inches to the back wall and at least a foot away from the wall. Mount has full function left/right up/down tilt and in/out. Just lay it out and think it out before you start drilling. Install was easy after that. I think this mount will do you well.
