It has RCA video input and output as well as a DVD player. and yes you can play a DVD with driving. It will not display on the main screen, just on the video out. Some of the internal settings will have to be adjusted for play, but it is easy to accomplish this in a few seconds. The video input is labeled for the rear view camera, FYI.

The DVD player will not work on the main display when out of park (or maybe with parking brake off), but as far as I know, any displays hooked into the outputs should work as it is said to be able to play DVDs for back seat occupants and such.
