A:Answer It should. The double-din installation kit for the 2006 Ram 1500 should have the right mounting frame for the radio and, if needed, replace panels around the radio. The kit for my 2006 Toyota Solara, for instance, include a new panel for the entire section around the radio because there were controls (e.g., volume) by themselves off to the side of the radio. This is probably more of an exception though. Just make sure there is a kit available for your Ram and you should be good to go. As to installation, yes it is indeed free for installation of the radio itself when they run that special. There is an extra charge for installation of steering-wheel controls (found this out on my Solara) and for installation of a rear or front camera. Still, though, free installation of the radio itself is hard to beat, especially when the radio itself is on sale too.
