“Will Surveillance mode work without hard wiring with a Lithium (or similar) external battery?”

• The hard kit wiring would be needed if wanting to capture an incident when the vehicle is not running. To check into this further please consult with Kenwood's customer service team they have more information about the product.

• 12 volts is 12 volts but damage could happen when battery get to low volts even on car battery they tell you turn off dash cam if not going to drive car three days or more. but if you going to do battery it draws 650MA
