• yes it have battery but not for running it just keep settings. it works on 7, 8 and 10 windows

• The camera needs to be plugged in as far as battery/power goes. If its not connected it will not be on. It doesn't have internal battery like a cell phone does. As for Windows 7 the computer software only mentions Windows 10, but you can always view the videos manually the software is there if you want to capture detail information like longitude and latitude.
