First, this unit is employed as a front facing camera . It will provide warnings about speed and proximity to other vehicles. This is generally tied into the Radio Head unit of the car. It is a lot a camera just for a back-up camera. Suggest you seek out a qualified installer such as Best Buy to advise you. Your PC does not have a path to the camera. If you were to replace the factory radio with the Kenwood , you have now opened up a new world of functions. It even tells you that you are exceeding the local posted speed limit, or too close to guy in front of you at speed. Granted it is annoying . It will keep you alert and help keep you safe. If you do not wish to expand then get a low cost dedicated camera tied into the transmission selector. Would suggest you do CAREFULL research on the Kenwood site/sites Dufmiester
