• Yes, what the other person said is correct. I have a similar unit and the only thing I had to do was select one of the pre-outs as a subwoofer pre-out. One of the pre-out RCA hookups should go right to your amp.

• You can if you're using an amplifier for the sub. There are 3 sets of preouts. The radio itself doesn't have power to drive a subwoofer.
