• It will not scald, but it is hot enough to force sipping it for a few minutes. Probably not as hot as you would get at McDonald's or Starbucks, as it seems to cool pretty fast.

Our K2.0 Brewing Systems are set at 192 degrees Fahrenheit (89 degrees Celsius) for K-Cup pods and 197 degrees Fahrenheit (92 degrees Celsius) for K-Mug, Vue and K-Carafe pods. These are the optimal brewing temperatures for our pods. We hope this information is helpful.

• It comes out hot but not blistering hot. Which is good for me. But if your taking it on the road get a travel mug. Thermos type.
