Yes you just need to buy the espresso pods

Please try again later.No espresso mode per se' since there are only a few modes that are push-button activated, there's a Latte', Cappaccino, Strong (which makes your coffee come out stronger), Shot, and just Coffee, but no Espresso button. Not like an espresso machine. It's all push-button pre-programmed. Because it uses only K-cup pods, you must play with those buttons to get the closest to an espresso effect. Simplest way is to select espresso roast pods to begin with. Then just push the "Coffee" button. Keep in mind it also has a nifty frother that you can place half & half or milk into and top off your strong coffee with that. I don't know if I just lucked out, but mine has performed flawlessly for almost two years now. I love it!
