Your coffee maker has a descale light indicator that will only illuminate if there is a severe case of scale build-up causing a change in brewing pressure. We do not recommend waiting for the descale light to illuminate. We generally recommend descaling your brewer every 3 months. Customers with a higher mineral content may consider descaling more frequently. Additionally, if your water does have a high mineral content, you may want to consider using water from a different source.
