• Its not you, its a design flaw. Someone had a challenger disaster in the engineering room at Keurig.

• Mine is just fine. No splashing. I would say perhaps there's a glitch in the machine you purchased

• I just purchased the Keurig Supreme. Have used it for 2 weeks & have not experienced this problem. I have only brewed hot coffee.

• It’s because the top/cap of coffee pot isn’t on and/or on but not locked. You have to twist until you hear the cap click and lock. Then you can start the brew!
