“Carafe I bought won't fit securely with Keurig. I bought the plastic one which doesn't keep coffee hot. But can't set the auto brew to am or pm. What do I need to do. Help”

Only certain machines are made for the carafe. I don't know if your model supports one. But the carafe you bought was not a thermo one. I have both and you are right about the one you bought not keeping the coffee hot. I would suggest the thermo one.
