- Answer If you are a light sleeper, like I am, I would not recommend purchasing a portable AC unit to use while trying to sleep at night. Almost all are very noisy. Thus, to get around this, I simply leave it on for about one hour prior to my sleep time, shut it off, and let a regular fan (Dyson cool) work its magic.

QuestionDoes this ac spit out water out to the window or does it have a tank inside? I live in the top floor apartment and I can’t have water running down my window.

- Answer It retains the water. You can either wait until the unit shuts off, when the small tank becomes full, or you can remove the water every so often before this happens. Note, once the unit shuts off, it will not be responsive until the water is removed using the small hose provided.
