QuestionChange vented box to a sealed box?The Kicker - CompR Dual 12" Dual-Voice-Coil 2-Ohm Subwoofers with Enclosure comes with a vented box. Could that box be switched to a sealed box instead?

- Answer No I do not believe so. Kicker is mainly about 1 thing, heavy bass, and you don't really get that booming from a sealed box. And the enclosures are made specifically for the sub, even the port(or vent). Kicker may provide sealed enclosures, but not sealed loaded enclosures with the sub already wired inside.

QuestionI only have one of these subs it's a dvc with a switch that can do 2 or 8 ohms will a 1 ohm stable amp work with my sub if I select 2 ohms

QuestionWhat ohm level should my amp be for these? I see their wired at 1 ohm a piece. would a 2 ohm monoblock be the best? or 2/4 channel?

- Answer Yes, monoblock amp would be best result. I purchased kicker CX 1200w just because didnt have enough for higher amp. But either way these subs are loud!!

- Answer Ideally you want a mono amp for this around 600 watt. Myself I have a Fosgate 400 watt and it's plenty loud .

Questionwhy are these listed at 1600/800 when they are actually 1000/500 each? the recommended 1200.1 amp pushes 600rms+ to these 12" subs which only rated for 500ea. the 15's are rated 1600/800. good luck finding a replacement 12" at 1600/800- they don't exist.

QuestionI have the CX1200.1 with 2 of these. Right now the speakers switch is at 4 Ohm position. It is my understanding that these subs are rated for 2 Ohm. Does this mean I can have the switch in either 4 Ohm position or 1 Ohm position on a 2 Ohm amplifier?
