Q: I’m looking to buy a L7s 10” sub. It has a recommended 600rms and peaks at 1200. Would the cx1200.1 amp be enough for it or should I switch to a L7r 10” that has a recommended 500rms and peak of 1000??

A: good thing about kicker amps is the number you see in model or on actual amp 600.1 1200.1 1800.1 300.4 is the RMS spec of amp and multiply it by 2 to get ur peak so yeah def be ok if u don’t wanna spend the money go with 600.1 or do the 1200.1 with room to add another i have L7S solo baric and had the 600 and 1200 on it and no problems at all hard heavy bass and clean sound no clipping at any level of gain the bass control remote is also good option or like me the Epicenter is always good addition ... have alpine 650rms now my 12” can handle 750 rms all day great sounding sub bette than 2compR 12” i was impressed

Q: Im looking into buying the 2 kicker 12" subs in a box For 299 they are 2ohm 1000 watt rms Will this amp push those speakers.

A: Yes it will. You may go into protect mode though if your alt and battery do not provide enough voltage. I hookee up an additional battery to get the full power of the amp and its night and day difference. Bass that hits in the chest to core. I also bought the kicker bass knob. Its a must have with this amp and the power this little amp puts out. I have not tun wires cleanly yet because i have not decided on best run path. I have this speaker in a 2014 370z, although had to remove spare tire. Its very intense at full volume. I just installed yesterday and am upgrading cables. After rough calibration with ohmmeter to 48.9 volts it runs great. Now its wire run time..... ughh

Q: Is this amp a stable 1ohm

A: No. You have to get the 46cxa1200.1 for a 1ohm stable connection. It's just a difference in model number.

Q: how do I bridge 2 12s to this amp

A: How you wire them depends on what subs you have, if they're 2ohm DVC you can run each one in series to make a 4ohm load each, then wire those in parallel to the amp which will drop them to a 2ohm load for maximum output. If you wire each sub in parallel to bring them to 1 ohm each, you'll have to wire them in series when connecting to the amp for a 2ohm load. If you have 4ohm DVC subs, your only options are 1 ohm (this amp isn't stable) or 4 ohm which limits the amp's output. The newer version of this amp is 1ohm stable, you'll want to get that one. Instead of the 43CXA12001 you'll want to order the 46CXA12001. If your subs aren't DVC, 4ohm subs will be wired in parallel, positive to positive, negative to negative etc to get your 2ohm load. If you have SVC 2ohm subs, unfortunately you can't wire them to a 2ohm load, you'll be stuck in the same boat as if they're DVC 4ohm. Good luck.
