If you are using the High-Level Inputs to connect the HS8 to the speaker outputs of your stock (factory, OEM) radio then place the AUTO TURN ON switch in the DC position and your Hideaway Subwoofer will turn on and off with your factory stereo. You cap off and do not use the Remote Turn On wire. If you are using an aftermarket radio (Kenwood, JVC, Alpine, Pioneer, etc., not your factory radio) then the Remote Turn On wire will connect to the radio's output wire labeled Remote Turn On, Amplifier Turn On or Power Antenna. Place the AUTO TURN ON switch in the +12V position and now it will turn on and off with your stereo. In rare circumstances where the HS8 will not turn on connected to a factory radio while in the DC turn on position, you will need to find a switched +12 Volt circuit in your vehicle and connect the Remote Turn On wire to this circuit (suggest adding a 1-amp fuse in-line as well) and place the AUTO TURN ON switch in the +12V position. If you do not have a multimeter for testing the car's circuits and understand current generation automotive electrical systems, we suggest seeking the help of a trained professional.
