Yes, It truly does'nt matter what BRAND speaker you have as much as the powerhandling specs. Make sure your speakers have the same or higher RMS wattage handling power as per the Hideaway.  Usual time of Installation is about 2 to 3 hours. 
If Installed properly you'll enjoy a rich clean but not over powering sound. Don't use zone settings on your Sony. Keep the loudness off or minimal to prevent distortion. Primarily use the EQ if your Sony provides that.
