• No they need more power. Get a lower Rms speaker. I added an amp and I still get clipping because it's undersized.

• That's what I bought these for as well, just to replace factory originals. The are a step up from factory, which is good. How good they can sound depends largely on what deck you're using. I bought a standard Pioneer deck that makes the speakers sound great, and I don't use an amp. Having different EQ options is a must for me so I can taper the speakers to fit the music.
