“Kicker CXA1200.1 is already installed and tuned in my vehicle. Will gains need to be reset if this gets installed or can I just plug this in without any issues? If it can be plugged in does the knob need to be turned up before doing so?”

Yes needs to be retuned. To do this turn knob and gain down all the way plug in and turn knob all the way up, then put multimeter on speaker output with sub disconected and adjust to desjred power level measuring voltage AC.
