A:Answer The case appears to be a rubber material, especially when you look at the product online. Though, when I went into the store to purchase the case it was to my surprise a hard plastic material. It will protect the device's exterior if it is dropped. I purchased this case for the tablet that was gifted to my grandfather who is clumsy. So, it is a good investment and a well made product.
