- Answer It's not silent or whisper quiet, but isn't overly loud or obnoxious. It runs for 30 seconds and is done so something that doesn't last long or bother me. Love mine, highly recommend! Built in fan to remove odors, etc. well sets it above the others I looked at.

But I do not want this (probably noisy) thing with a stainless steel door, taking up room in my kitchen. What I need is not being built and sold! I want something moor industrial to run in my garage, workshop or under my deck. I do not think this thing would last five years. Why not look up "Electric machine for crushing aluminum cans" on youtube.
