QuestionHow far does the handle stick out? I’m afraid it will get in the way of opening a corner drawer..

- Answer The appliance door itself sticks out 1 inch further than the wood on the front of the cabinet...about the same as the front of the drawers beside it. The handle sticks out 2.375 inches from the front of the door. It's about the same as the handle on a dishwasher.

QuestionCan you use the compactor as a recycle compactor or it used to only compact food, paper products etc. My husband thinks t will crush our wine bottles and big shake plastic containers. I think it only used for garbage to compact those items.

- Answer It's not silent or whisper quiet, but isn't overly loud or obnoxious. It runs for 30 seconds and is done so something that doesn't last long or bother me. Love mine, highly recommend! Built in fan to remove odors, etc. well sets it above the others I looked at.
