“Can you use the compactor as a recycle compactor or it used to only compact food, paper products etc. My husband thinks t will crush our wine bottles and big shake plastic containers. I think it only used for garbage to compact those items.”

I tried putting in a folded cardboard box and it was unable to compress it. Glass bottles would probably be beyond it and would definitely cut the compactor bags.
