• No filters needed. It comes with it's own filter which is washable.

• The coffee maker comes with a metal filter or you have the option to use flat paper filters if you wish. It does have a water small filter in the reservoir. It is a great coffee maker. My only feedback is that it takes more time then the Ninja to make a pot. If we used paper filters it may take less time. But I have not used them yet.
