“Does this model have the ability to be completely "shut off" where all ice is melted and drained in times when it is not being used? Unit is going into a seasonal vacation home where it will not be used all year. Thank you!”

Hello Carrie, this model does allow you turn the unit off so it will not produce any ice until you turn it back on. We hope this helps.
