• The refrigerator needs 2 inches of clearance between the wall and the refrigerator (on the hinge side of the door) to be able to open the door all the way. The clearance is to clear the door handle which sticks out 2 inches. If a clearance is made in the wall for the handle that is 2 inches deep that could work as well.
