• Don't think this is for the counter top. there is a vent on top and filters for above the range.

• this microwave has to be mounted from your cabinets and besides it does have venting and lights to use below the microwave . I owned a kitchenaid microwave for the last 15 years and just bought a new Kitchenaid microwave for our newly remodeled kitchen.
