• Although I read about that in the material that comes with, one was not in the box I bought. So I don't know if it's supposed to come with or not. Would have been nice though.

• It comes as shown in the picture. I am not sure what a pan guard is. There were no extra pieces. Just the motor and the metal mixing piece.
