If freezer food is wrapped properly, it won't leak. Bag-seal everything messy like meats, fish, and use good quality containers for liquids. I wish I could be of more help, but I have no problem with this. Lining the drawer might interfere with air circulation, but I never tried it. I had a freezer like this in my other home for about 5 years before I got this one and never had a problem with leakage. I guess the best answer is to wrap everything securely for the freezer to keep good food quality and prevent leakage.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi, I have this fridge and also the same model was owned in another house so I’ve used it for about 6 years. I find that because it’s a freezer I don’t have any liquid to spill out or really anything that isn’t frozen that would leak. I’ve never had the freezer completely die on my other unit so I bought another one. If you freeze a lot of liquid then maybe that’s a concern for you. Also, the bottom of the freezer is a solid plastic piece so nothing can drip through it. There is also a small indentation to capture about 1 cup of water....maybe a little more/less. Unless you’re expecting a lot of leakage I don’t see this as a problem. Good luck! I love the fridge because it’s a thin counter depth and holds a ton for 4-5 person family.
