Noise is noticeable, but not intrusive. You will hear it kick on, but if you are watching tv or doing something else, it will not interfere with day-to-day life. It is louder than most other models I have seen/used
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you live in a quiet area, you'll hear it. If you're about 10 ft away it will be faint. It'll make noise when reaching the assigned temp. Once reached, it's as quiet as a mouse.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Very noisy. Mine often emits a high pitch whistling noise when the compressor is on. It is giving me headaches and I have to turn on music to drown it out. Kitchen-Aid says it is normal and is refusing to remedy the problem under their warranty.

My old frig, GE Profile, 27-yrs old and still working, had a while range of noises, pretty much non-stop. The only "noise" with the new Kitchenaid is water filling to make and dispense ice to the freezer tray but new ice maker not running as much as old frig because the Kitchenaid ice stays fresh longer. My only issue with this frig is the slightly curved doors are easy to dent during unpacking and installing. The curvature is so slight, I didn't notice it was curved until it was installed. The SS really accentuates even a small and/or shallow dent in the reflection on the door, looks a bit like a funhouse mirror. Installers need to be aware of the curvature for proper handling.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If noises bother or annoy you do not buy this model. It makes a humming sound and also a loud crackling sound. It can be heard even with a tv on. I wish I wouldn't have gotten this one.
