Q: QuestionDoes the KitchenAid 20 cubic foot counter depth French door/freezer on bottom stainless steel model have a COATING of any kind on the doors? A door was scratched and I am told the stainless steel scratch removing products can only be used if NOT coated.

Q: QuestionThe freezer is a basket like in the 70'S refrigerators. This feature I'm not fond of because if anything drips or leaks it will leak thru the open spaces rather than a solid bottom on the drawer. Please tell me what I can do to fix this.

• A:Answer If freezer food is wrapped properly, it won't leak. Bag-seal everything messy like meats, fish, and use good quality containers for liquids. I wish I could be of more help, but I have no problem with this. Lining the drawer might interfere with air circulation, but I never tried it. I had a freezer like this in my other home for about 5 years before I got this one and never had a problem with leakage. I guess the best answer is to wrap everything securely for the freezer to keep good food quality and prevent leakage.
