Also disappointed by the top rack, its basically useless for utensils, my old one I could slide them sideways & they’d be clean on both sides. This one they lay flat & only 1 side seems to get clean

Mine came with 3rd rack; it’s removable, and some models I have seen on Best Buy sales floors have the 3rd rack removed so it’s easier to show.

Yes, is handy for (mostly) flat spatulas, serving spoons, etc and for plastic tops, though of course they can't drain.
