No the appliance is not adjustable. However, I had the same problem. Actually a little more so. I had someone install the oven for me and he made my width cut out slightly larger and put up a wood panel under the oven to cover the gap. It looks like a small drawer. The opening was not big enough for another drawer so he just put a small wood panel and I painted it to match my cabinets. Looks great, can't tell any difference.
