• The best thing to do is buy Geek Squad protection. I never buy an appliance anywhere else and always buy the protection. Most major appliances do not last more than 4-5 years., Two banks of lights failed in my previous Kitchenaid - it was declared a factory defect after several attempts to repair them with new motherboards. Best Buy made good on their warranty and replaced it for free
