This cooktop is it an electric with downdraft null

Our previous unit was electric with downdraft, but that ate into the cabinet space underneath. This unit is electric, but NO DOWNDRAFT. We installed a venthood over it by simply cutting a 7-inch hole and using some ducting (ask your local hardware store for the stuff that is made to handle heat.)

yes electric, downdraft must be purchased seperately.
