QuestionDoes the fan in the oven make a lot of noise when using regular bake (not convection)? I currently have a Frigidaire Gallery range and it sounds like a car idling in my kitchen. Considering an “upgrade” but don’t want to end up with same annoying sound.

QuestionI got a new range . As I started up the oven it smoked a lot I mean get a heart attack lot it also glowed orange in the back below the fan and it made a popping sound. I never had this going on with any of my new ranges. Is that normal?

- Answer Hello Wally, there is a break in period in a new Range. The smoke is from the oils used in the manufacturing process. This will need to be baked off. Generally, we suggest you turn the appliance on the highest setting for about one hour. If you are able to, we do recommend to open or well ventilate the area. You will hear the walls of the oven expanding and contracting during this time. It will lessen as the oven "breaks in". We hope this helps.

- Answer Hello Lucy, Demo Mode IMPORTANT: This feature is intended for use on the sales floor with 120 V power connection and permits the control features to be demonstrated without heating elements turning on. If this feature is activated, the oven will not work. 1. Press OPTIONS until “DEMO MODE” is displayed. 2. The current setting will be displayed. 3. Press the “1” keypad to adjust the setting. 4. Press OFF to save the setting and display the time of day.
