• Hello Chip the vent for this unit is located on the bottom of the unit. We hope this helps.

• Page 7 of the manual says: "Common venting methods are shown for a downdraft range. The downdraft range may be vented through the wall or floor." and goes on in greater detail. I will be installing mine on a slab so must go into the wall. I intend to install a Victory Sky island hood as well.
