I had to have a granite guy widen the hole by about a quarter of an inch on the left and right sides in order to get the Kitchenaid to fit. The only way to be sure is to measure your cut- out and make sure though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Double-check the measurements, especially if the countertop is granite. Sometimes the edge below the surface is not flat enough. The fix is to Dremel the granite side or allow the new cooktop aluminum encasement to slightly dent inward. I suggest the Dremel solution is the way to go. Just do it slowly and carefully as not to crack the granite. Also, only do it if you can't slip the new cooktop in.
