Hello CooktopShopper. There is rubber caps on the bottom of the grates.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The bottom of the grates have rubber bumpers to protect the stainless cooktop from scratching and keep the grates in place. The grates are pretty heavy so they don't move around. I hope this answers your question. Both myself and my mom have the same cooktop and I really like it.
