- Answer The 20,000 BTU burners have a power range and a simmer range. As you say, would only be a simmer for large pots, need to use the 9,000 BTU burner for delicate sauces

QuestionDoes this stove come with a gas pressure regulator? My order did not come with one and it's difficult to find one to purchase.

- Answer This is in response to an old post, but since it looks like several people have asked, and we also questioned, whether a gas regulator was included, we wanted to reply that a regulator was in fact included with our cooktop. It was just easy to overlook. The regulator was shipped in a cavity in the underside of the packing styrofoam below the cooktop. We almost threw it out with the packing material. Try turning the bottom foam over, and look in the corner.

QuestionWe have this cooktop ready to install and it has no external regulator. Can KitchenAid Team provide a clear answer - does it need a regulator for residential use, and if so, must it be a KA? If not, is that because it has an internal regulator?

- Answer Install manual, Page 5, Parts Supplied, Parts needed: no mention of regulator. Page 9, "Gas pressure regulator: "The gas pressure regulator supplied with this cooktop must be used." There is no regulator attached to the gas inlet pipe as shown in the diagrams. I guess it was attached at one time but was removed. How do I get a replacement?
