Can the door be adjusted to open from opposite side? null

No - you need to order either a left or right hand door

KitchenAid makes a left-handed model. KUWL214KSB. I'm not sure why the other two responses concealed this information. Even savvy customers are not likely to know that the "R" and "L" in the model numbers describes which side the hinges are on.
