Hi Anathema, Thank you for showing interest in this appliance. As far as the price differences go for different models there could be many things that could set this appliance apart from the other unit also resulting in the unit being more expensive. To determine what this model may or may not have over another model the units can be compared on the KitchenAid website to see what features this unit has compared to the others We hope this helps.

It looks like it could last a lifetime. I also like how the oven door surface remains cool when the oven is on. I had to open the door and double check if the oven is really on. I bought this oven for it’s double oven feature. It has two separate ovens, unlike other models which have two doors but actually has one oven separated by panels and racks. The small upper oven is perfect for pies and for when I am roasting steak in a pan.
