The manual says there’s a coating but doesn’t specify its composition: “With AquaLift Self-Cleaning Technology, an exclusive coating on the interior of the oven is activated with heat and water to release baked-on soil.” If they’re being opaque about it, probably assume it’s toxic. Maybe KitchenAid could comment on whether it involves PFAS?

This new cleaning technology is a low-heat, odor-free alternative to traditional self-cleaning options. AquaLift® isn't a type of coating, it is basically turning the oven into a steam room for easier cleaning. We hope this helps!
