“Why can't this unit be converted from a 4 prong cord to a 3 prong cord?”

• Just had this delivered and installed an hour ago. The team that brought it installed the flexible gas line and the 3 prong plug to match our outlet.

• Spoke with KitchenAid and service technician, this stove is ONLY 4 prong factory installed cord.

• it can be used with a 3 prong cord. leave the grounding strap in place on the range electrical box, and use the 3 main lugs to connect the cord. just make your electrical code allows this
