• If it comes with a four prong plug it means the range requires a neutral wire for some features to properly function. Three wire outlets only provide two hot legs and a ground.

• @KitchenAidTeam, from your answer it looks like the 4 prong cord is built in, so I won't be able to use it directly in the 3 prong outlet? Is there an option to change the cord to 3 prong
